Secret Club Night

Secret Club Night is a not at all bitter end for the festival in the form of a party. There are plenty of reasons to put on your dancing shoes. Rhytm Doctor, Ilmajaam, Jänes&Kass, Les Beat and Tõnis Hiiesalu don't need introduction for the local crowd. Also, Vladislav Delay and Kangding Ray pay a visit to our super-secret party.

Comics Day is here again!

On Saturday, November 19, Animation Film Festival Animated Dreams and the Finnish Institute present a Comics Day in Tallinn. A comic book fair and a lecture about the cooperation between comics artist and animation director will be on the programme.

A great teddy bear

In collaboration with Artis cinema a feature animation "The Great Bear" (Denmark, 2011) will be shown. "The Great Bear”, selected for Berlinale Generation Kplus, is Esben Toft Jacobsen’s feature film debut.

Animated Dreams brings you Tomáš Lunák's feature debut film "Alois Nebel" (Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia 2011).

Night programme: Love, sex and desire

Black nights in Tallinn are about to get explicit with Animated Dreams' special programme "Love, sex and desire", screening the British animated documentary "Wonderland: The Trouble with Love and Sex" and a selection of Japanese experimental and erotic shorts, loaded with freaky bizarre and spicy humour.

Meatplant in future Tokyo

Animated Dreams will be screening the hand-drawn feature masterpiece "Midori-ko" by Keita Kurosaka - a mystical bio-environmental sci-fi story told in 20,000 surreal and wonderful images.

Nordic studios discuss success and innovation

Stig Bergqvist, a well-known director and co-founder of the leading Scandinavian animation and visual effects company FilmTecknarna, and leaders of Danish Ja Film studio, Anders Berthelsen and Rune Christensen will be presenting their works and discussing their experiences at AnimaCampus Tallinn.

Animated Dreams features: A Cat in Paris

We are happy to announce the screening of "A Cat in Paris" (Une vie de chat, 2010) by the French directors Alain Gagnol and Jean-Loup Felicioli - a hand-drawn adventure from the official selection of Berlinale 2011 and Annecy International Animated Film Festival 2011 programme.
