Comics Day is here again!

On Saturday, November 19, Animation Film Festival Animated Dreams and the Finnish Institute present a Comics Day in Tallinn. A comic book fair and a lecture about the cooperation between comics artist and animation director will be on the programme.

Comics Day starts off at 14.00 with a book fair at the Artis cinema, where all comic book artists will have a chance to put their work on sale or swap comics with other authors. The fair will have an informal structure and will be a good opportunity for comics’ aficionados to meet Estonian as well as Finnish comic book artists!

Well-known Finnish comics artist Kati Kovacs and Estonian animation director Mait Laas will be delivering a lecture at 15.00 at the Artis cinema in the frame of AnimaCampus Tallinn. The authors will describe their lively collaboration in creating the work-in-progress animated stop-motion feature An Opera of Forgotten Stories: A Rapid Love Story of Lisa Limone and Maroc Orange, which will be released by Nukufilm studio in 2012. The lecture is open for everybody! (Ticket 3,5€, discount ticket 2,8€)

Comics Day takes place on Saturday, 19.11 at Artis cinema (Solaris Center, Estonia pst 9, Tallinn).
